Southlake One Acre Lots

by Gerald Dostal on October 28, 2009

When it comes to homes on a decent lot size, few areas can compete with the number of Southlake one acre lots.  Everything is supposed to be ‘bigger’ in Texas, however, the vast majority of the subdivisions in the Dallas – Fort Worth Metroplex are developed utilizing 6,000 to 7,500 square feet lots.  Cramming more homes into the development is more important to the builders than plenty of space between homes and leaving lots of room for a large backyard play area for kids (and adults).

Southlake real estate is one of the few exceptions to this phenomenon.  There are more homes on Southlake one acre lots than almost all the other communities.  The Southlake one acre lot feature does not come cheaply though.  The least expensive home on the market, on a minimum one acre lot is priced at $337,000.00 and there are only seven (7) properties currently on the market for less than $400,000.00.  The majority of the properties are in the $1,000,000.00 range, with the high at around $4,000,000.00.

The link below will show the current inventory of properties on the market in Southlake on at least a one acre lot:
